Initial Consultation:

How do I make an initial tattoo enquiry?

Feel free to drop into the shop, call us, or send us an email. If your tattoo is small and simple we can often book you straight over the phone or email. However, most pieces will require coming in for a consultation to talk more in depth about your new tattoo.

What is a consultation and why do I need one?

Consultations are an opportunity to discuss your ideas and meet with your potential artist in person. Please bring along any reference images (images on your phone are fine). Consultations are important for you and your artist to be on the same page about your tattoo design. At this time your artist will be able to give you an indication of price and availability. This initial consult is complimentary and last between 5-20 minutes, sometimes longer if you are discussing cover-ups or large pieces. After the consult, we can book your appointment; a cash deposit of $50-$100 is required for booking your appointment.

Can I walk-in or do I need to make an appointment?

Walk-ins are always welcome and we will try to get you in if we can. All walk-ins are on a first come first serve basis. Saturday’s are dedicated to walk-in tattoo, we suggest you get here early becasue we fill up quickly!

Do you have a long waiting list?

This depends on the individual artist and the size of your chosen piece. Availability can range from day of to months, however it is always worth checking as appointments move around daily.

What should I be aware of before booking my tattoo?
  • You must be 18 or older to get tattooed; a valid ID will be required on the day of your appointment. (We cannot accept parental consent for under 18’s).
  • We cannot tattoo you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you have any medical conditions such as a blood borne virus etc, please make your artist aware of this during your consultation.
  • We recommend no swimming or heavy sun exposure (including sun beds) for the first 3 weeks of your healing.
  • A cash deposit of $50 (or $100 for larger pieces) is required at the time of booking your appointment. This deposit is put towards the total price of your tattoo.

What to Expect:

Can I see my tattoo design before my appointment?

We do not show clients their tattoo design before their appointments. Clients can view their drawing the day of the appointment, and make any changes necessary. Rest assured, years of experience have shown us that this is the best method for artist and lend the most satisfaction from the client.

How should I prepare for my tattoo on the day?

Please come to your appointment well rested and well hydrated. Eating food 1 to 2 hours prior to your appointment is highly recommended. Too much alcohol the night before is not a good idea, as this can thin your blood. Please be aware we will not tattoo anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Wear clothing conducive for getting tattooed, and please be relaxed upon arrival. We will shave the tattoo area for you, please do not do this yourself. We politely ask that friends/partners are limited to one only during your session. Bringing a large group of people can be distracting and potentially interfere with the process of the tattoo. Under 18’s, babies, dogs and bicycles are not permitted in the studio.

Also, plan your day accordingly. We do not rush the process of getting tattooed, so best to allow plenty of time for the appointment.

Can I use numbing cream?

We do not recommend using numbing cream. This can make the skin more difficult to tattoo and can sometimes affect how it heals. There is often a greater level of pain experienced once it has worn off.

Can I bring a friend/partner to my appointment?

We politely ask that friends/partners are limited to 1 only during your session. We ask that your friend/partner not move around the space or lean on the tattoo chairs, this can be distracting for the artists at work. A member of the team will show them where to sit. Bringing a large group of people can be distracting and potentially interfere with the process of the tattoo. Under 18’s, babies, dogs and bicycles are not permitted in the studio.

How much will my tattoo cost?

We have a $80 minimum and generally quote based on size, detail, complexity, & location. For larger more detailed pieces we work at an hourly rate. We are often able to give an indication of price during your consultation. We take cash deposits to hold all appointments. This deposit is put towards the total price of your tattoo and is non refundable. The remainder of payment is due after each session. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable.

What is a deposit?

A deposit is required to hold all appointments. This deposit is put towards the total price of your tattoo and is non refundable. The amount of the deposit is determined by your artist. The remainder of payment is due after each session.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

Cash is always our preferred form of payment, but we DO accept all major credit cards. We do not accept checks.

How do I look after my new tattoo?

Your artist will explain how they would like you to look after you tattoo, this can vary piece by piece. Generally we recommend you do the following:

After 3 hours, remove the bandage gently and wash with warm water and mild unscented soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, do not re-bandage. Apply a thin film of ointment. Repeat 3 times a day for the next 3 days. After 3 days, use an unscented hand lotion until skin returns to its pre-tattoo condition.

  • Normal showering is fine just do not soak your tattoo or rub with a towel.
  • Do not allow your tattoo to dry out.
  • Avoid swimming or sun tanning until your tattoo has completely healed.
  • If your tattoo creates a scab while it is healing, do not pick at the flakes as this can cause the color to be pulled out and/or cause an infection.

Your tattoo should completely heal in 2-3 weeks. Apply a high SPF sun block for the life of your tattoo to prevent fading after it is fully healed. Consult a physician if any signs or symptoms develop such as the following: redness at site, green/yellow discharge (foul smelling) and/or fever.
